“I’m Brooke, by the way.” she smiled. She turned to the table with the drinks on it and she grabbed a red cup and poured beer into it and handed it to Rachael. “You’re Audreys friend? The one in the video.” she said.
Oh, my gosh. It was only a matter of time before someone brought that up. Rachael told herself she was glad it was Brooke and not, well, another popular kid from a school she didn’t go to but knew all about her anyways. Rachael felt her cheeks heat up, her whole face, and she took a sip of the beer. It was surprisingly refreshing and she was glad it was cold. “Um,” she stammered, “Yep. That’s me.”
“And remember - don’t look them in the eye, act like you’re better than them.” she said as she began to walk through the party wit the girl she wouldn’t usually even bat an eyelid at. Once she got the patio doors she stepped through and turned to Rachael. “see? less people, no-one’s staring.”
She wasn’t sure about that first piece of advice. It went against just about everything she was thinking and feeling. But she adjusted her posture in an attempt to comply. “Yeah, you’re right. Thanks. Again.” Rachael let out a breath she’d been holding, glad for the open space.
“Well even if you don’t like it you can’t let them know that. They’re animals, first sign of weakness & your ruined.” she said. “So, head up and I’ll walk you outside, it’s more chill by the pool anyway - people get drunker in the open air so no-one will bat an eye at you.”
“All right,” she managed. Something about Brooke’s logic seemed sketchy to her, but what did she know about the drinking habits of Lakewood’s high school students? “Um–thanks.” And besides that, being outside seemed a lot easier to handle than stuck in an enclosed space with the type of people who were audacious enough to throw lewd comments at her and Brooke.
“Don’t worry about it. it means you’re relevant.” she said, pushing blonde bangs out of the way. “worry about it when they stop.”
“Relevant? I’d rather not be.” No, Rachael was perfectly content having once been in her own world. One where people didn’t notice her or talk to her or pay her any mind at all. There was no pressure that way. “That’s an… interesting way to look at things, though.”
Scout couldn’t help but chuckle, their smirk widening and quickly becoming a Cheshire grin. “You know why, don’t you?” they asked. “You didn’t think I’d give it to you that easily- did you?” Looking up, they met her eyes- their eyes were hard and burning with lust- a fire that couldn’t be put out.
Staring into her eyes for a moment before they uttered a final. “You’ve got to beg for it.”
Beg? She had to beg for it? Why did that make Rachael want them even more? Still she whimpered and squirmed, putting a hand to her head for a moment in a silent plea for them to continue. But somehow that wouldn’t be enough to get what she so desperately wanted. “Please?” she whispered, barely loud enough to hear. She hardly knew what to say.
Rachael nodded as she let out a sigh. The attention she was receiving was entirely unlike anything she’d ever received before, even from Scout. She found herself smiling at their change of tone, taking it to be playful and different and sexy. She felt their hands against her legs despite their impulse to close and easily gave in to their touch. Until they stopped. A whining sound is emitted from her lips as she writhed impatiently and sat up just slightly to look down at them. “Why’d you stop?” she asked, biting her own lip now.
